Alright, that might be pushing it too much, but the point is that kitchen is one of the most important areas in your home because eating is such an important aspect of our life. Adding the right colors in the kitchen, then, pleases not only the eyes, but also our appetites.
Painting and flooring: The walls and floors occupy a major part of any kitchen and because of their size, they will influence the appearance of your kitchen. This is why you have to give attention to the walls and floors. The best option is to replace the flooring but it is costly so opt to se laminate or vinyl flooring. They come in various patterns, colors, and designs. When you have a small kitchen, you should paint the walls in light colors to give an illusion of space.
Marble sinks gives a shiny and elegant finish to your luxury kitchen. But maintaining this look can be a problem, due to the porosity of the marble. Sealing helps to prevent this to a particular extent. But various juices, soft drinks and house hold cleaning liquids may cause dirty spots on the marble. Vessel sinks, commonly known as basin sinks are becoming the popular trend in the luxury kitchen. Vessel sinks sit atop instead of being below the countertop unlike the traditional sink basins. So they are more visible and make a major design statement. They are now produced in a variety of unique and kitchen friendly materials including stones, glass and wood.
Traffic: The kitchen should not be perceived as an island; it needs contact with the outside world that is accomplished by car. You can have the adjoining room used a garage attached to the kitchen or have the back door lead to the driveway, so you do not go through much hassle bringing in your groceries or taking out your trash. You can also have a mud room minimize the traffic within your kitchen since it acts as a staging area for trips out of and into the house. It creates storage for coats, boots, and hats, buffer from cold air, or you can put pantry shelves to hold items that are not meant for immediate use. Once all this activity is redirected from your kitchen, you will have more space for eating and cooking.
