For many families, the kitchen is the gathering place to eat, do homework, and spend time together so it is important that your kitchen is big. If you have a small kitchen and want to renovate it can be a nightmare because there are many ideas, plan, and concepts that you cannot do with a small kitchen that you can do for a large kitchen. On the bright side, a smaller kitchen renovation can have its own advantages and benefits, one of which is a lower cost to renovate. When discussing renovation it could mean something as do small updates to a complete kitchen makeover.
The most cost effective way to remodel a kitchen and give it a color is using melamine chipboard. You can buy Melamine chipboard in sheets of 2750mmx1830mm giving you about 5 square meters per board to work with. Melamine chipboard can only be edged with PVC or impact edging that is glued onto the chipboard. You can also use veneer chipboard which is 0.5mm veneer wood glued onto the surface of the chipboard to make the chipboard look like real wood. This board though isn‘t very cost effective in a kitchen and would normally be used as panels for a solid door kitchen.
New Kitchens designed in a U-Shape. Kitchen designs know no bounds, as all it takes is someone with a good imagination and a knowledge of the industry. The first thing to do as a homeowner is to have some idea of what you want yourself, then draw a rough sketch of the design, get the family involved, because its surprising what little Johnny has learned in school and what he can come up with on the computer in no time at all. Every agent in the country will appreciate this, as its a nightmare to call to a home and the owners have no idea what they want, but every idea that the agent comes up with is shot down in seconds. The u-shaped kitchen is one of the most popular kitchens in modern homes in Ireland and the Uk, its simple a kitchens that runs along three walls and in some cases will have an island in the middle which can be used for casual dining. This type of kitchen affords one the ideal work triangle providing its not to large of an area. The ideal size in width is twelve feet and over as this will allow you place an island in the center between both outer walls.
Storage space: Lack of space is one complaint that many have when dealing with a small kitchen. This includes cabinet and counter space. When doing a kitchen renovation look at your kitchen and see where you can add more space. If there are appliances such as a coffee maker, juicer, etc that you do not use on a regular basic store it in a bottom cabinet to free up counter space. If there is room on top of your refrigerator store containers for your sugar, flour, etc. Build more cabinet space to the top of your cabinets.
