3. Kitchen Cabinets: A variety of bold color choices are now available from many manufacturers. However, bold colors tend to get old faster, and replacing the entire kitchen cabinets can be an expensive proposition. If you must go with the newer bold colors, the best compromise is finding cabinets that can be repainted. Kitchen cabinet materials also come in a wide variety, each capable of adding a different style and flair, in addition to a different color to your kitchen.
Ambient lighting is the next kind of kitchen lighting. Although this lighting can bring about a lot of improvement in your kitchen, it is often overlooked. What we usually think is that there is no need for extra lights in the kitchen. But what we are forgetting is that these lights create that soft magical glow which is very warm and it also moderates the shadows in the kitchen space. And give you that feeling of being at home which we all crave for.
The Work Triangle or The Work Area: One of the most important aspects of any fitted kitchen and its also one of the areas of planning that must involve the input of the cook or chef. There are three main appliances that will determine this area and these are, the cooker, the fridge and the sink or waste area. You may well ask why, well these when you think about it are the three most used places in any kitchen. If any of these areas are too far away from each other it can make using the kitchen to its full potential difficult. So the work area or the work triangle should be given the attention it deserves before proceeding to the other areas of choosing your kitchen, and that is your first fitted kitchen tip.
Traffic: The kitchen should not be perceived as an island; it needs contact with the outside world that is accomplished by car. You can have the adjoining room used a garage attached to the kitchen or have the back door lead to the driveway, so you do not go through much hassle bringing in your groceries or taking out your trash. You can also have a mud room minimize the traffic within your kitchen since it acts as a staging area for trips out of and into the house. It creates storage for coats, boots, and hats, buffer from cold air, or you can put pantry shelves to hold items that are not meant for immediate use. Once all this activity is redirected from your kitchen, you will have more space for eating and cooking.
